Also on the recording is Grammy Award winner percussionist, M.B. Gordy, Eric Rigler on Irish Pipes (he was the soloist on Titanic and Braveheart), and the best string players in L.A. performing David Campbell’s gorgeous arrangements.
We recorded my piano tracks at East West Studios and strings at United Recording in Hollywood. We then recorded Stanley and M.B. at M.B.’s studio. And other bass tracks at Stanley’s studio. Another song, “The Warrior Returns to Forever,” I composed with David as a tribute to our dear friend, Chick Corea. We recorded that song live at United Recording with Stanley on bass, myself on piano and Eric Rigler on Irish Pipes. Sadly, that iconic studio has been closed.
The engineers for the project were Steve Churchyard and Travis Warner. Travis and David are now creating magic, mixing the tracks. Next will be photo shoots, cover art, album mastering and the final step of graphic layout & production by my sister, Lea Frechette. Oh, and we still need to title the album. Stay tuned …
