Helping Others During the Pandemic
"During the worst crisis in our lifetime helping others where we can becomes not only an act of love, but a responsibility we all share to get us out and on the other side of this pandemic."
I received these words in an email from a friend of mine informing me about the dire conditions the homeless of downtown L.A. are in with the soup kitchens being closed etc. And how Artists For Human Rights (AFHR) is doing something to help the situation by working with the Los Angeles Community Action Network (LA CAN) to provide groceries for these people. All it takes is a small donation.
I know you probably feel like I do - you have been wanting to help but didn't know quite what to do. That's why I'm forwarding this link to you. By clicking on this link you can make a direct donation to help provide groceries to the homeless of downtown Los Angeles.
By contributing to this, I feel like I am reaching beyond my house, beyond my comfort zone to really effectively help those who are starving in our city. I'm sure we've all been really hungry at some point, maybe not starving, but any kind of "real hunger" hurts! I feel really good about doing this, knowing someone will feel a little better because I helped feed them. The more of us that click and help, the better our world will be.
Let me know how you are doing and if you need any help from me. I'd love to hear from you.
